Everyone's invited to enter Wenham Museum’s gingerbread contest! Individuals, families, groups, teams–all are encouraged to create a Gingerbread House for this friendly community competition. Come see over 100 locally and professionally made gingerbread creations on display at the historic Jeremiah Lee Mansion in Marblehead, MA during this year's Marblehead Christmas Walk. Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids compete each week for a chance to earn points. At the end of the Series the boys and girls who accumulate the most points in their respective distances are awarded trophies. All participants receive a medal on Week 5!

Newburyport Yankee Homecoming invites you to the Annual High School Battle of the Bands. Local High School aged bands will compete to see who rises to the top and with top winners getting cash prizes, performing live at other Yankee Homecoming Events and paid gigs for the band. Marblehead, Massachusetts has a long-standing tradition of hosting an annual summer arts festival during the week of July 4th. This highly esteemed festival showcases a diverse range of artistic expressions that include: painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, photography, crafts, plein aire painting, senior art, student art, and youth art. Alongside the art exhibits, there are numerous family-oriented festivities, events, and activities that aim to captivate and entertain both children and adults alike.
We are going to all play many copies of Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart at once (some on the Switch, some on the N64s provided), each player getting their name on a raffle ticket for every five minute round they win (SSB) or every 50cc course they win (MK). One prize for the most effectively lethal player (to be determined by Teen Librarian Katy's judgement of skill, enthusiasm, and growth) and one prize for the winner of the raffle.
Calling all ages! Create a diorama, using those deliciously sweet, marshmallow Peeps as your main characters. Let your imagination run to peeps as you illustrate your favorite book or movie. Bags of peeps are available at the library (while supplies last), or supply your own.
