Join Amesbury Public Library for an interactive storytime outdoors with stories, songs, actions, and fun! We'll end with stations around for kids and adults to explore. Storytimes are great ways to build literacy skills and create learning experiences as well as a great social event. Younger siblings are welcome, but please bring children who are in our age range for this program.
Join Ms. Julie of Early Childhood Partners CFCE to enjoy a story and fun activities that explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math (STEAM). Designed for children ages 2-8 years and their caregiver. This program will be held on Fridays January 13 - March 24 from 1:30 - 2:30pm (no group on 2/24). It's time for backyard birds to head south for the winter. Joppa Flats Education Center want to give them a proper send-off with a fun, free family event that features bird banding demonstrations, interactive games about bird migration, and lots of table-top science including bird-call recall, bird identification, shorebird feeding challenges, and a mystery bird nest challenge!
New this spring, the Trustee's popular Afternoon Adventures program now has a drop-in option on Wednesdays! Bring a friend, pick and choose the days you’d like to attend, or try it out for the first time. This 2.5-hour drop-off program on Wednesday afternoons provides your child with immersive, farm-based play and chores that foster social-emotional learning, wellbeing, and a love of nature. Skilled educators with a flair for fun and a knack for outdoor skills supervise your young farmers as they explore the barnyard, garden, and trails. This entirely-outdoors program uses our historic Carriage Barn (where the goats live!) for shelter in severe weather.
Kids in Grades 4, 5 & 6 are invited to come learn about 3d printing at the library. Learn the basics of 3D modeling, create a design and print a keychain that you can take home! Register now for this special program. SPACES ARE LIMITED and sign up is required.
After School STEM in Nature is a weekly after school drop-off program on early release Thursdays for elementary-aged children (grades 1-5). Drop-off for the program is between 2:15-2:30 and pick-up between 4:15-4:30 at Castle Hill (290 Argilla Road).
