7th Annual Ramble, Free Concert to Raise Money for Families of Fallen Troops

7th annual Ramble, a free festival on Salisbury Beach for northshore children and families

Free concert to raise money for families of fallen troops. Boston rockers the Adam Ezra Group (AEG) will present their 7th annual Ramble, a free festival on Salisbury Beach on Saturday, August 27th starting at 2:00 P.M.  Presented by RallySound, the non-profit founded by Adam Ezra, this year’s Ramble will support the Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund, an organization that helps families of service members post 9/11/2001.

Ramblers will once again transform Salisbury Beach into a summer block party with two stages of live music featuring performances by the Adam Ezra Group and their invited guests San Lorenzo, Pesky J. Nixon, Frank Viele, Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki Trio, Haley Sabella, Marina Evans and Young Frontier.

Non-profit organizations will set up in “Ramble Town”, where they will teach attendees how they can activate and give back in their communities throughout the year.  “Ramble Town” will also include an artisan market, a cookie bake-off, and a raffle and silent auction with handmade items and services donated by fellow Ramblers, all to support Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund.

“We’ve had the honor of playing for many of our service men and women over the years.  We are constantly inspired by their commitment and sacrifice,” said Adam Ezra. “Often times, military benefits are not made available to all family members who need them. We want The Ramble to demonstrate the power of community when people come together to do a little good for the world.”

Last year’s Ramble brought out over 3,000 people on the beach and another 2,000 watched the live stream, raising money to help build a home for Sargent Chris Gomes, who was wounded in action in his second tour of duty in Iraq.
In 2014, the Ramble raised money to provide twenty New England Veteran families with fresh produce from local farms for an entire year.  In 2013, the

Ramble helped place fourteen homeless veterans into safe housing.  In 2012 The Ramble helped build a park in Lynn, MA, and in 2011, money raised helped to provide 35,000 meals to New England Veteran families in need through local food banks.
This year, the Ramble is raising money to provide micro grants for families who have lost a service member in war. The public, and sponsors are simply asked to give what they can.

The day-long event begins with the Pre-Amble with beach yoga lead by Yoga Master and United States Navy Veteran Cheryl Hughes, as well as games and activities.  The day culminates with fireworks at the end of the AEG concert and an after-party featuring more live music by Kali Stoddard-Imari and the Ancestors in Training at The Upper Deck, a venue on the beach.
