Hamilton Wenham High School and the Hamilton Wenham Edfund proudly welcomes Dr. Michael Thompson, psychologist and author of the New York Times best-seller Raising Cain: Protecting the Emotional Life of Boys and It's a Boy!: Understanding Your Son's Development from Birth to Eighteen and seven other best-selling books on children and parenting, to the Ferrini Auditorium at Hamilton Wenham High School campus.
In his presentation, Dr. Thompson will cover the following:
- Four major issues that frame the way we raise our boys and explain why and when we worry about our sons.
- Parental fears at different stages of a boy's development.
- How to overcome your doubts and enjoy raising a boy: Instructions for mothers and fathers.
- Educators need to focus on "best practices" for boys.
