Riverbend Trail Hike

Hike the Riverbend Conservation Area with Essex County Greenbelt Association!

Join West Newbury residents and Greenbelt Outdoor Adventure Team members John Dodge and Patricia Reeser for a 90-minute walk through Riverbend Conservation Area in West Newbury. (See Map or download/print) The wooded, somewhat hilly land borders the Merrimack River and promised lovely views. See if you can find some of the remains of what once was a ski hill.  Refreshments will be served during a brief post walk discussion. FREE. RSVP.

Where: We'll meet behind the Page School, 694 Main Street,  West Newbury 

What to wear / bring: Wear long sleeves and pants, sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots, Use of tick repellent and/or bug spray are recommended. A full water bottle is recommended especially if it's hot. The trails are well-marked and moderately challenging only in a few spots

Directions: Take exit 57 off Route I-95 headed west toward West Newbury.  The Page School  is approximately 3 miles ahead on the right.  Look for Greenbelt Event Here signs.
