The Ipswich High School Orchestra under the gifted leadership of Michael Coelho has received an incredible honor and opportunity. The Honors Chamber Orchestra has been invited to perform at the National Band and Orchestra Festival at Carnegie Hall in New York City this April! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the kids and the first time in the school’s history that this has happened.
The Orchestra On The Hill would like to support this endeavor by performing a joint concert with the kids on April 7th, and donating all of the admission and donation proceeds to the cause helping make this exciting experience a possibility. This would be both a preview concert of the HS students plus a send-off concert by The Orchestra On The Hill to celebrate the event! The Orchestra On The Hill, under the Direction of Thomas Palance, will be performing Vivaldi Winter and Spring, and the HS Chamber Orchestra Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral by Wagner and music by Shostakovich.
