The Open Door and the Ipswich Lions Club team up to host an evening of food and hospitality. This is a simple meal of a bowl of soup — donated by local businesses — bread and a cookie. The bowl going home will be empty as a reminder than someone somewhere is going hungry.
Last year’s Empty Bowl Dinner provided a contribution to The Open Door of $14,792.26. The second annual dinner takes place on Thursday, Feb. 20, Hellenic Center from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
