Joppa Flats' engaging and experienced staff will introduce families to local beaches, forests, and wetlands to make observations in nature, identify wildlife, and enjoy hands on science activities outdoors. Harold Parker state Forest has 11 ponds, 9 of which were created by the CCC. During the month, visit 4 of these ponds. Learn their function and importance. Meet at the Nature Center inside the campground. Wear appropriate hiking shoes. It is recommended that you bring water, insect repellent and sun screen. Appropriate for all ages, must be able to walk several miles.

Discouraged by the long drive up North to camp? Worry no more! Join us for a night of camping right here in Andover, on the sandy shore of Pomps Pond! Bring a tent, sleeping bag, and some food to BBQ. Enjoy canoeing on the Pond, S'mores by the fire, arts and crafts, and an outdoor movie! A light continental breakfast will be available for you in the morning before you depart. Fun for all ages!
What kid doesn’t like playing in the water? Join the park interpreter for a Ponding adventure at the back pond to discover what is living in this aquatic habitat. Nets and buckets are provided. Participants should wear long pants & appropriate shoes! For ages 5 and up!
