We kayak most calm nights in the spring, summer, and fall. It's an amazing way to explore nature and the beautiful coastal waters in our area. Learning about the sport safely with enthusiastic instructors is the best way to develop a life long love of kayaking.
North Shore Community College is offering a variety of creative, fun classes for kids 5+ this summer. Classes begin July 6 for three weeks - two classes per week.

The Essex Bay Sailing Club will offer sailing lessons for its 11th season at Conomo Point in Essex. The program is designed for children ages 8 and older who want to have fun learning to sail. In addition to sailing, the program introduces sailors to the fundamentals of boating safety, navigation, weather awareness and essential seamanship skills within the shelter of the Essex River estuary.
The Glen Urquhart Summer Program integrates explorations of educational, hands-on workshops with the easy-going feeling of summertime fun for children ages 4-14. With 23 acres of woodlands and fields in Beverly Farms and just one mile from West Beach, the campus is an ideal location for a great summer experience.
A fun studio that offers classes and open studio. The open studio offers projects that are adaptable to just about all ages. 3 to 4 projects are set up simultaneously and change weekly. $12 per child per hours with includes all materials. Offerings include projects such as:
Sticker making
The Harvard Museum of Natural History offers a number of Summer Science Weeks for kids. Through games, activities, and observation in the galleries, students conduct scientific investigations, explore earth and study ocean animals.
The museum has many great afterschool programs including a Kids' Club where kids can explore topics in depth, an Animal Artists Club for kids who love animals and art, and lots of interesting vacation programs. Ages range from preschool to 8th grade.
All-Court Tennis Camp, now entering it's eight year on the North Shore, is a full-day and half-day tennis camp with seven one-week sessions running the weeks of:
Directed by USPTA-certified tennis coach, Eric Olson (Pingree Boys tennis coach), who has over 20 years playing and teaching experience. Ages range from 6-16. A New "Tennis for Tots" program has been added for 3-5 year-olds!
iD Tech Camps offers summer computer camps for kids and teens (ages 7-17). They also offer additional teen academies (ages 13-18) including the iD Gaming Academy, iD Visual Arts Academy, and the iD Programming Academy.
