Cape Ann Girls Hockey hosts an open house at the Dorothy Talbot Rink in Gloucester

UGirls from the North Shore and beyond who are interested in learning more about our U10, U12 and U14 travel teams are invited to attend. Come skate and have some fun! Girls Travel Team Program offers competitive hockey team play for Northshore Communities, allowing girls the experience of being on an All-Girls team.

Earth Day is celebrated in a big way at the Children’s Museum of NH, with a focus on learning how to support a healthy planet. The museum will be hopping with a variety of demonstrations, activities and information as we celebrate Earth Day! With the help of some special guests from around our community, visitors will get their hands dirty while learning about our Earth, the environment, our local ecosystem and much more! All Earth Day activities are included with paid admission and free for museum members

Woodcock Walk at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge

Explore Parker River National Wildlife Refuge and lear about the American Woodcock!

Each spring American woodcocks engage in one of nature’s most fascinating courtship displays. Here’s your chance to witness this “sky dance” up close and in-person! This program is appropriate for ages 8 and older. Meet the ranger on the deck of the visitor contact station at parking lot 1. Bring binoculars and a flashlight. Program is limited to 15 participants. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the program start time.  Preregistration required.

Choose a recipe from children's cookbook "Cooking Step by Step" by DK Publishing, and together with your child prepare it and bring it in to share! Pick up a copy of the book in children's services. Cape Ann Farmers Market hosts their annual dinner and movie featuring 'Local Thirty'

The Cape Ann Farmers' Market will be holding their annual fundraiser this year at the Cape Ann Community Cinema! Join them for a dinner and movie at the cinema featuring the film 'Local Thrity', a film that follows farmer Andrea Bemis and her family as they meet seven producers from the Oregon coast to Oregon ranching country during a month-long commitment to eating foods grown or harvested within 200 miles. Maureen Aylward bring the storytelling program, Fish Tales, which she produces through the Gloucester Writers Center, back to our fundraiser with the theme “Food for Thought.” Come enjoy the community spirit, share a movie and a meal and help support the Farmer's Market.

This full length musical featuring a cast of 60 accompanied by a live orchestra, brilliant light and sound engineering, and vivid set pieces will surely make you feel like you aren't in Kansas anymore!
