Join the National Park staff at Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site for a tour of the colonial industrial site. On select days, you may be able to stick around and witness pop-up molten iron pour, blacksmithing, waterwheel demonstrations, and take part in hands-on river stewardship activities.

Learn about the buildings, bridges, and breakwaters built to last. Touch tools of the trade. Memorial Day starts with a small ceremony at American Legion Lot at 8:45 Locust Grove Cemetery Lanesville. The parade leaves at 10:00am sharp from American Legion Hall Beach st. to Beech Grove cemetery, the parade will reform and proceed down Pleasant Street to Mount Pleasant St. to Harvey Park where the parade will pause for a brief ceremonial laying of a wreath in Harvey Park and back to White Wharf then American Legion Hall.
The Museum of Fine Arts will honor Memorial Day with an Open House and will waive all admission fees. Visitors can enjoy complimentary admission to the MFA's galleries, family activities and performances. This year, the MFA offers free admission—including access to the special exhibition “Van Gogh: The Roulin Family Portraits”—for Massachusetts residents. Enjoy music, dance, art making, and more!
Please join us as we honor those who lost their lives while protecting and serving their nation. The parade will start at 9am behind Proctor School and it will go down Main Street to Veterans Memorial Green where there will be a short ceremony in front of the monument.
The Peabody Memorial Day Parade will begin at 11 a.m. at Washington Street and Allens Lane. The route heads east on Washington Street, then west on Main Street to City Hall. Washington, Main, and parts of Lowell Street will be closed to traffic.
