A Sneak Peak at National Geographic Education

Get a sneak peak at National Geiographic Education's new Beta website.

Learning geography is sometimes difficult, but doing so sets a solid foundation on which to build an education rich with history, international relations, religious understanding, cultural empathy and philosophy. This seems to be National Geographic's motivation in their effort rebuilding National Geographic Education to create a wonderful resource for not only teachers and educators, but for students and parents as well. The site is still a beta version, but it's definitely worth a peak.

Funding PBS Helps American Kids

Funding PBS with federal money helps kids get a head start on education.

When my three year old sits down at the TV to watch 'Curious George', 'Super Why!' or any other show that is part of PBS's fantastic lineup of PBS Kids programming, I can tell he is mentally engaged.  He enjoys the programming, and absorbs the messages of learn, read, discover, create, and explore.  I really don't think that he cares if Curious George is Republican or Democrat. To be honest, I don't think he cares that George is a monkey!

He wanted to do an impromptu 15 minute interview, but it turned into a 40 minute interview that covered a broad range of subjects from places to go hiking around or near Cape Ann, our upcoming Summer Camp Guide, to the Google Science Fair.
