Our 3rd Annual Donut Day is on 6/1 from 10 am - 4 pm. And it’s WAY more than just donuts! Did you know National Donut Day started in Chicago in 1938 as a tribute to The Salvation Army “Doughnut Lassies”? The Lassies traveled overseas during WWI to help support & boost morale of front line troops by setting up small huts to provide supplies and baked goods. Nicknamed “Donut Lassies,” the women who served donuts to troops are often credited with popularizing the donut in the United States. Learn more about Doughnut Day
