Boston Bruins Annual Pajama Drive

Drop off new pajama donations at libraries across the North Shore of Massachusetts as part of the Boston Bruins PJ Drive.

The Boston Bruins will be hosting their 19th annual PJ Drive with the goal of collecting 10,000 pairs of pajamas from February 1st - March 15th, 2026. The drive will benefit Cradles to Crayons and Wonderfund MA, two non-profits that ensure positive living conditions for children. Local businesses and organizations can register to host their own drive and fans are encouraged to help by purchasing a donation from Cradles to Crayons' Amazon Wishlist.

Hikes are moderately paced and range from 2-3 miles over sometimes uneven and rocky terrain. Best for ages 8 years and up. Meet at the Visitor Center. Heavy rain/snow cancels.

Learn how waterwheels were made historically, and how modern carpenters and preservationists repair and rebuild waterwheels.

Saugus Iron Works House Tours

Free Ranger guided tours of the Saugus Iron Works House in Massachusetts

Join National Park staff at Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site for a 30-minute tour of The Iron Works House. Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site preserves and interprets the first sustained, integrated iron works in British Colonial America, which operated on the Saugus River from 1646 to 1670. Explore the place where European iron makers brought their special skills to a young Massachusetts colony. Saugus Iron Works is a twelve-acre National Historic Site that includes working waterwheels, forges, mills, a historic 17th century home, and a lush river basin.

Memorial Day is a big celebration in Saugus, MA. Come thank our veterans.

The Saugus Veterans Council Memorial Day Parade will step off from Anna Parker Playground at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 25, 2024 and proceed through Cliftondale Square, down Central Street to Winter Street and end at the Veterans Lot in Riverside Cemetery. Our Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at the Veterans Lot immediately following the parade. This year, our Parade and Ceremony will be broadcast live on WMEX Boston 1510 AM and 101.9 FM.
