Located on the beautiful 250 acre lakeshore campus of the Brooks School in North Andover, MA; Brooks Summer Programs comes alive every summer to offer extraordinary opportunities for children aged 4-18. Now in our 45th season, programs ranging from Day Camp, Computer Camp, Teen Quest and Summer School are specifically designed to meet a wide variety of interests.
Theater in the Open hosts their Summer Arts Workshop is a fun-filled, out-door, adventurous way to learn and grow at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport. It is a place where young people have the opportunity to be creative and build lasting relationships with their peers in a safe, non-competitive environment designed for personal and artistic growth. Our professional staff of artists and educators is dedicated to providing our students with a positive, creative, artistic experience.
Girls Rock Boston is a week long summer program for girls ages 8 to 17 working to empower and encourage positive self esteem through music education and performance. During each session, girls receive instrument instruction (guitar, bass, drums, vocals or keyboards), form a band, write an original song, and perform at a sold out rock venue- in just one week. As well as band formations, band coaching, and band practice- we include workshops such as self- defense, songwriting, women in rock history and screen printing. IMADA is offering students an array of Summer programs focusing on the arts. Kids in grades 7-12 are invited to use time over the Summer to explore their artistic abilities be it sculpture, painting, film, music or digital and mixed media. Programs take place at Ipswich High School and other locations beyond the North Shore, so payattention to the specifics for the program you want. The Music Asylum offers an annual Summer Songwriting Session. Learn the art of lyric writing, prosody, chord structures, harmony, song form, rhythm and groove. Students will leave having written at least one song for themselves, will collaborate with other students on song production, and will leave with a great sense of the complexities and joys of creating music.
A one-week intensive musical experience for string players that combines practice and performance in a string orchestra as well as the joys of summer time fun.
The instructors at Waring School know that summer is an ideal time for young musicians (ages 8 to 18) to spend a rewarding week playing together in a string orchestra. Located on our beautiful 32-acre campus in Beverly, the Waring School is offering a fun-filled and educationally rich musical experience to the talented string players of the North Shore.
This one-week day camp will bring together the talents of many of the North Shore's best music teachers to present an orchestral program ideally suited to the age and level of each child. This week will culminate in a final performance for family and community.
Lemberg Summer Camp is very much a continuation of our play-based, educationally enriching school year program with a little water play and living outdoors thrown in. Lemberg Hall is set in the heart of the beautiful Brandeis University campus, far from the busy streets of Waltham.
