Join State Representative Hannah Bowen for an ice cream social at Lynch Park. Ice cream cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children and senior citizens; proceeds to benefit the Homecoming Fireworks.
Make time for a Traditional Lobster Bake, Chowder, Chicken, etc. available all day at Lynch Park. Dine at picnic tables under the tent while listening to local bands. Local businesses, politicians, and non-profits will be set up around the park to share information with you. Amazingly, 90% all the trash from this event is diverted from the waste stream with the help of Beverly’s Waste Reduction Committee. Keep your eye out for composting and recycling stations under the tent. Cash and cards accepted. Check our website and facebook page for updates on the price of lobster the day before Lobster Fest. The 1st Annual Homecoming Bocce Tournament will take place on the campus of The Waring School, 35 Standley Street, Beverly, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 10. Teams of 2, 3, or 4 players can enter. The tournament will feature a single elimination tournament on grass courts, followed by a “final contest” on the Waring School bocce court. Restrooms will be available in the gymnasium on campus. It’s Homecoming Week and we have history for you! Drop-in at Independence Park for a scavenger hunt in the park! We will provide the scavenger hunt, clipboards, pencils, and prizes, you bring the smiles and your keen attention to detail and let’s have some fun! Space is limited. Year two of this fantastic event will allow the participants to take part in a fun, healthy and exciting day of sunshine and competition. This competition will be a “Shootout” format. A Shootout is an individually-ranked, round-robin. In such a format, those participating in the pickleball shootout will be placed in groups of four or five in the order of their position (ranking) on the ladder.
This is a free event held at Balch Park, Balch Street, Beverly, with a focus on bonding and creating comradery within our community. For grades 5th-8th. Teams of 4 on 4 with a goalie. All equipment will be provided. Games will be held throughout the day. Team assignment and game time provided at close of registration. Each player will receive a free t-shirt. Water will be provided. Maximum number of participants is 50 players from Beverly. DJ for Music/Announcements.
