Celebrate the fish city’s recognizably salty character with local cultural institutions and businesses during the 5th Annual Gloucester’s So Salty festival sponsored by the Cape Ann Museum in partnership with Discover Gloucester! This annual event brings over 2,000 people to the downtown area each January to shop at local stores, enjoy family friendly activities, visit the Museum Courtyard, and find each of the ice sculptures sponsored by local cultural institutions and businesses.

Pingree School hosts the 16^th annual Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit on their campus in South Hamilton, Massachusetts . More than 50 sculptures will be displayed for those three months, along with the 20+ in the school’s permanent collection. The public is invited to the free exhibit seven days a week from dawn until dusk. Children and dogs are welcome with adult supervision. 

Come on your own, with friends, or bring the whole family to the museum for a special week of programming. The museum has a number of activities and pop-up surprises planned for the week of April 17-23. Come to the Lynn Museum and Historical Society for free admission on during Trails & Sails! As part of Trails & Sails, we are offering complimentary visits to The Museum between 10 am and 5 pm on Thursday, September 19, Friday, September 20, Thursday, September 26, and Friday, September 27. Stroll through one of our exhibitions celebrating Lynn’s history, tackle our gallery scavenger hunt, draw a favorite artifact, or enjoy a book from The REAL Program.
